TERMS OF SERVICE Last updated: May 1, 2026 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Anima ("we", "us", "our") at anima.biz, our mobile applications, and related products (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. 1. ELIGIBILITY You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. 2. ACCOUNT You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate information when you create an account and to keep it up to date. 3. USER CONTENT You retain ownership of the content you create on Anima ("User Content") — characters, stories, posts, chats, and media you upload. By submitting User Content you grant Anima a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license, and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law. 4. ACCEPTABLE USE You agree not to: - Post content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or hateful. - Generate or share sexual content involving minors, non-consensual depictions of real people, or other content prohibited by law. - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure. - Reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Service. - Use the Service to send spam, malware, or any harmful code. - Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation. - Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. 5. AI-GENERATED CONTENT Anima uses artificial intelligence to generate text, images, and other content. AI output may be inaccurate, biased, or offensive — do not rely on it as professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content. 6. PAID FEATURES Some features require payment. Prices, billing cycles, and refund terms are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current period. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. We may change prices with at least 14 days' notice for active subscribers; the new price applies to the next billing cycle. 7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content we create, is owned by Anima or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. 8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g. Google Sign-In, Stripe, Cloudflare). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. 9. TERMINATION You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, the licenses you grant under Section 3 survive only to the extent necessary to keep historical records and backups, and we will delete or anonymize your data per our Privacy Policy. 10. DISCLAIMERS The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. 11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anima and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. 12. INDEMNIFICATION You agree to defend and indemnify Anima from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms. 13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. 14. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Anima is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws give you a different right. 15.
